Recently I was asked by the Buddhism and Psychology student union at University of Toronto to present a workshop on fermentation and kombucha for students, . It was so great to be able to bring this group of students the world of fermentation,
and this delicious fermented tea to the students.
The workshop included information on fermentation, and valuable insight on the health benefits of fermented beverages. Samples of various flavours of kombucha were provided along with a demonstration on how to make the drink. The students then had the option to buy kombucha kits so that they could begin the brewing process themselves.
Being able to share with others the ways that foods and beverages can give us a variety of health benefits makes me so happy.
