Berry Cantaloupe Smoothie

Simple and clean with very few ingredients.

The ingredients in this smoothie are so refreshing and invigorating in morning and really make me smile all day long.  Simple and clean with very few ingredients this smoothie is easy to make and will keep you fuelled for quite some time.

Avocados: Grown on trees and native to Central America are high in fat content but the “good” fat that helps nourish you.  Putting avocado in smoothies will create a creamy texture as well as keeping you full and energized.

Hemp Seeds:  Known to be a digestible essential protein, it is great in smoothies to provide 11g of protein in every 3 tablespoons.  They also contain fibre which means that they promote healthy digestion.

Berries: When not in season berries can be pricey so you can use frozen berries that come from a good source.  They have many vitamins with less sugar than other fruits which make them a superfood.

1/4 cup frozen blueberries 

1/4 cup frozen strawberries

1/4 cup cantaloupe cut into squares

1/2 a pitted avocado

3 tbsp hemp seeds

1/2 tsp vanilla

3 pitted medjool dates

2 cup almond milk

DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients in high speed blender and mix until smooth. Pour into glass and enjoy.

Note:  IF too thick add some extra almond milk or water to thin out the smoothie.
