Tahini Lemon Dressing with a Twist

Creating your own dressings is so gratifying and an easy way to elevate your salads without all the preservatives and hidden ingredients. This dressing is tangy and pairs well with most salads if you want a creamy texture without all the added calories. This recipe takes minutes to make and is a go to for my Nurish Bowls.

Makes just under 1 cup of dressing


1/4 cup tahini

1 garlic clove finely diced

1/2 cup FRESH lemon juice (about 2 small lemons)

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp fresh ground pepper

3 Tbsp water (as needed)


  1. In a large bowl mix the tahini, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper.

  2. Mixture will be thick, add the water a little at a time to reach your desired consistency.

  3. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
